I’ve just finished my third year at the spectacular Madison Early Music Festival, in which I’ve had the privilege to study lute, baroque guitar and even fiddle with a theorbo! On top of technique classes and lessons, the festival has given me a great chance to continue my study of figured bass playing in a continuo section.
Here is a demonstration of a cool new technique unique to the baroque guitar that I’ve just learned in my studies with Scott Pauley. It is called Campanellas (Little Bells).
And here is a clip of the encore from the final participant concert at the 2011 MEMF. I’m playing the Baroque Guitar standing in the very middle. Enjoy!
